NSX is Dead, but Concept to Continue Detroit Debut?

The 2010 Honda NSX’s development was scrapped a couple of weeks ago as the Japanese auto maker felt that it wasn’t a good idea to continue with the V10 super car due to the current world economic environment.
However, words are being exchanged now that the concept version which was suppose to be previewed in the upcoming Detroit Auto Show will still happen. Apparently the concept NSX was already completed when Honda announced its plans to scrap the production. Since that is the case, the preview of the concept will go on as scheduled.
Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupe – Spyshot!

Autocar UK managed to snap a few photos of this next generation E-Class Coupe in a town near Wales. This comes after spy shots of the E-Class estate and the release of images of the E-Class sedan couple of weeks ago. Up front, the coupe variant features a different grille which includes the three-pointed star.
The slopping roof lines leads you to tail lights which are slimmer than those off the sedan, and further down they feature roundish exhaust tail pipes just like the estate version.
‘Sayonara’ to BMW’s awesome M-Power Inline-6!

BMW is now preparing to pull the plug off its legendary 3.2 inline-6 power plant which we have enjoyed in a number of Bavarian-based performance cars such as the iconic E46 M3, Z3 M and the Z4 M. This comes after a seven years production run for the iron-block motor.
The latest M3 is now powered by a 4 liter V8 which has some of its design taken from BMW’s involvement in Formula 1. The new BMW Z4 is motivated by BMW’s new 3.0 liter inline-6 with twin turbo. The 3.2 inline-6 engine code named S54B32, definitely played a huge part in the development of BMW’s performance engine line-up.
Rear seatbelt rule in Johore and rest of Malaysia starts January 1st!

As the New Year is closing in, our neighbor across the bridge will fully enforce the rear seat belt rule on New Year’s day. Failure to buckle up by front or rear passenger can result to a fine of RM 300. The RM 300 fine is only applicable to passengers who are above 17 years of age. However, the driver will be punished if they carry non-law abiding passengers who are below 17 years old.
Do take notice that the RM 300 fine is just a temporary measure which will take effect till end of June 2009 only, as the fine will be increased to RM 2000 after June and also expect additional sentences of up to one year in prison! I don’t know if its too much or not, but I know one thing, make sure everyone’s buckled up before you cross the bridge!
You can only get away from the new ruling IF:
* Your car was registered before January 1st 1995.
* You car was registered after January 1st 1995 without rear seat belt anchorage points.
* You are in a commercial vehicle, such as rental cars.
* Your vehicle has no less than nine seats including driver’s.
* Your transport vehicle has more than 3.5 tonnes in capacity.
