Ford has recently unveiled the high-performance Focus RS500 which makes 345hp, 45hp more than the ‘regular’ RS. However the RS500 is based on a 500-unit production run so what if you are not one of the lucky 500? Well there is a simple solution.

Fully kitted out Nissan GT-R to make debut at 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon

The tuners are not about to leave the Nissan GT-R R35 alone just yet. What you see above is a sketch of an upcoming final product that will be shown at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon happening next month. Japan-based Original Runduce is behind the mod and it is made up by an aggressively-styled body kit as well as new alloy wheels.
The tuner also revealed that the GT-R that looks as though it came out of a shoot location for the Dark Night’s sequel will feature a higher horsepower figure, over 600hp it said. It looks sinister!
Mcchip extracts 401hp from the Ford Focus RS

The standard Focus RS from Ford already produces 305hp and 440Nm of torque which is enough to make your passengers scream when you push it really hard. What options you have to make your passengers scream like there is no tomorrow? Well just visit Mcchip! The German tuner offers a package that gives you a total 345hp and a massive 540Nm of torque from its Volvo-sourced 2.5 liter turbocharged inline 5 engine thanks to a re-mapped ECU. With this, top speed is rated at 271 km/h.
If that is not enough for you, then you have the option of selecting the second stage which makes the 5-cylinder engine pump out an M3 rivaling (well almost) 401hp and an Earth-shattering 612Nm of torque. With this, top speed jumps to 278 km/h. Although the top 7 km/h difference is almost negligible but you will definitely feel the difference when it comes to acceleration, but the unfortunately Mcchip did not reveal 0-100 km/h figures.
Apart from the ECU re-map, this package also includes an enhanced intercooler, special spark plugs, more engine electronics modifications, a sports exhaust system and a new inlet manifold. It would cost you €799 to make your RS produce 345hp and a bank-breaking €4,499 for the second stage upgrade. Look for more images of the re-tuned Focus RS after the jump. Edo Competition Lambo Gallardo LP600/4

No matter how powerful or fast a car already is, there are always tuners on the prowl to up horsepower and challenge physics. Today’s lab rat is the Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4. German tuner Edo Competition has tinkered with it and out comes the LP600/4.
The 600 in the name signifies the Gallardo’s new power output, up 40 from the stock car’s 560bhp. Torque is up as well, from 540Nm to 572Nm, and as a result of this top speed is now 340km/h (increased by 15km/h). The four-wheel drive Gallardo takes 0.2sec less to reach 100km/h from rest, now at 3.5 seconds.
The LP600/4 gets a sport suspension system that is adjustable in compression and rebound damping. Its low friction shock absorbers and new spring rates were tested on race tracks, high speed ovals and on the road – Edo says that “the result has to be experienced to be believed.” A new stainless steel high-performance exhaust system with butterfly valves allows sound levels to be adjustable via remote, besides freeing up 15bhp. As a bonus, Edo’s exhaust weighs 12 kg less than Lamborghini’s.
Visually, Edo’s creation gets 19-inch three-piece racing wheels with artificially-aged cast center-sections, hand-polished outer rims and 39 stainless steel screws. Cabin personalisation is through customer request.
