ABT Sportsline injects 60HP into the KTM X-Bow: Package costs £5,300

ABT Sportsline managed to extract a further 60HP from the KTM X-Bow’s 2.0 liter TFSI Audi-sourced powerplant, that produces 240HP in stock form. Overall, the performance upgrade package allows the X-Bow to crank out 300HP and 400Nm of torque, instead of 310Nm. The upgrade lifts the X-Bow’s (pronounced as Cross Bow) power-to-weight ratio to 380HP per tonne. It results in a lower 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.5 seconds, which is faster by 0.4 seconds. The package costs £5,300 (including VAT, fitting and a 2-year warranty).

Jeff Lau, KTM’s X-Bow manager in the UK explained, “X-Bow’s racecar-inspired chassis and sophisticated aerodynamic package have always given owners the ability to go head-to-head with some of the world’s most exotic machinery.”

“This power upgrade will ensure that X-Bow owners seeking an even more extreme experience can do so in total confidence, building upon the quality assurance of the expert engineering and exquisite finish for which X-Bow is recognized,” he added.

380HP KTM X-Bow by MTM!

German-based MTM; the guys who helped Audi Quattro to snatch victories in the 80′s are now working on to produce a more powerful version of the KTM X-Bow (pronounced as cross bow). MTM is looking to bump up horsepower figures to 380HP!

MTM is expected to re-tune the X-Bow’s 237HP 2.0 liter Audi-engine as well as perform other upgrades to the roof-less sports car to further support the extra pushing power. However no details are released yet regarding when potential buyers can take one home, probably mid next year?
