The sweet-looking Hyundai Avante was released in late April and unfortunately the company was tight-lipped about it’s interior. As a result, the display car during the launch in Korea featured dark window tints. Two months later Hyundai released a teaser sketch of the interior, particularly the dashboard and now, the company has finally given us an image of the actual dash.

At first glance I must admit that it looks pretty good. It doesn’t look cheap and if I were to own one, I would be a happy man. A good looking exterior coupled with a nice interior, not a bad deal. But there is something that can be the deal breaker: it’s driving.

Just to recap, the 2011 Avante which is also known as the Elantra in certain markets gets a 138hp 1.6 liter GAMMA engine with direct injection producing 166Nm of torque. The engine is linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

It also comes with other goodies such as HID headlights, LED taillights, heated seats as well a colour TFT LCD screen that nestles in the instrument panel. The specifications look good but I can only offer my final verdict following a test drive, something I can’t wait to do!

Hyundai has released the 2011 Genesis Coupe which now sports a refined interior, thats right no work has been carried out on the exterior of the vehicle. The 2011 Genesis Coupe has new soft-touch materials on the door panels, lower instrument panel, steering wheel, glove box as well as on the center speaker grille.

The A-pillars are wrapped with cloth plus there are different finishes on the shift bezel, instrument gauge cluster rings and on the dashboard knobs. The rear coat hooks, trunk deck lid grab handle and multi-information display screen graphics have been reworked as well. It was also revealed that the navigation and fully automatic temperature control are now standard on the Genesis Coupe 2.0T Premium.

As the title suggests, Hyundai also released a new 3.8 R-Spec variant which comes with a 306hp 3.8 liter V6 mated to a 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission. The previous version used a force-inducted 2.0 liter 4 potter with 210hp. In it’s latest iteration, the R-Spec rides on 19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels that hide Brembo brakes. The suspension has been tuned up to offer a sportier ride and it also features a Torsen-type limited-slip differential.

Undisguised images of the 2011 Hyundai Genesis sedan have been leaked onto the Internet. Compared to the current Genesis which has been in the market for the past two years, the 2011 version seems to feature very minor upgrades, judging from the images we have here.

There are slightly modified bumpers and side skirts, reshaped exhaust tips and a different chrome strip above the license plate. Interior wise the only difference visible is a BMW-like gear shifter. At the moment have no idea when this 2011 iteration of the Genesis sedan will be unveiled, meanwhile you can view more images after the jump.

The 2011 Hyundai Avante or Elantra as it known in certain markets was unveiled in April at the Busan Motor Show but the launch only showed us the exterior of the compact, leaving the interior to the imagination. Months after the motor show the company has released a teaser image of the interior, pictured above.

The teaser is made up by a conceptual rendering only but the final product is expected to feature the same theme as the all new Hyundai Sonata. The new Avante is expected to be introduced in the Korean market at the end of the year with a new 1.6 liter direct-injection petrol that is able to crank out 140hp.

This is the all new Hyundai Avante which is also known as the Elantra in certain markets. It was revealed at the Busan International Auto Show in Korea and just like the new Accent and other latest offerings from Hyundai, the Avante is treated to the company’s “fluidic sculpture” design.

My first impression? It looks darn good! This model makes the outgoing Avante look like its 20 years old! It comes with several features such as HID headlights, LED taillights while the interior gets an LCD screen that nestles in the instrument panel, among others. It also has LED taillights.

The brand new Avante gets a new 1.6 GAMMA engine that produces 138hp and 166Nm of torque. This engine also has direct injection, Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing and a Variable Induction System.

The powerplant is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission which is good news. It becomes Hyundai’s first compact sedan that has a GDI engine linked to a 6-speed slush box. More images can be found after the jump!

Hyundai has officially uncovered the all new Accent at the 2010 Auto China event in Beijing. The new sub-compact sedan will be first sold in China before being introduced in other markets worldwide. The new Accent is underpinned by a new platform and is powered by a new an all-alluminium 1.6 liter GAMMA engine which is able to produce 121hp and 155Nm of torque.

The power unit is linked to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Buyers in China can also opt for the smaller 1.4 liter version which makes 106hp and 135Nm of torque. Apart from the above mentioned auto buyers can also select a 5-speed manual for this engine.

Hyundai claims that this base engine delivers 100 kilometers with 5.7 liter of fuel. The new Accent features Hyundai’s new “fluidic sculpture” design language which seems to be getting the thumbs up from everyone although I feel that the design doesn’t really go well with a small-sized vehicle like the Accent. The Accent is also known as the Verna is certain markets.

Hyundai has announced that it will reveal the 2011 Sonata hybrid at the New York Auto Show. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser image, shown above. Judging from the image, we can tell that the hybrid variant has a different front fascia compared to the more conventional Sonata.

Rumor has it that the hybrid is powered by a 2.4 liter direct injection linked to a 30 kW electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai will also unveil the range topping petrol model with a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine at the American event.

This is the i-Flow concept by Hyundai which is being shown at the Geneva Motor Show. This new concept belongs to the D-Segment vehicle class and is said to preview the European-replacement of the Sonata, meaning the eventual production model is expected to be sold only in Europe.

The production model is expected to hit European showrooms sometime in 2011. The concept that was designed at the company’s Russelsheim studio in Germany features Hyundai’s first diesel hybrid powertrain. It has a force-inducted 1.7 liter diesel linked to a lithium ion polymer battery pack as well as with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Hyundai claims that the concept has a fuel consumption figure of 3 liters per 100 kilometers which is pretty impressive. An image gallery can be found after the jump.

Hyundai has released another image of the i-flow concept that will debut at the Geneva Motor Show. This second image reveals the front section of the concept and just like its rear, it is also treated to various design lines which is part of the company’s “fluidic sculpture” design language.

The hybrid concept which previews a future D-segment vehicle is powered by a 1.7 liter turbocharged diesel engine paired with an electric motor and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Hyundai also revealed that the i-flow is able to deliver 100 kilometers with just 3 liters of fuel while CO2 emissions output is figured at 85 grams per kilometer.

The company also announced that it will showcase the facelifted i30 at the motor event as well. There will also be a fuel cell variant of the ix35 or Tucson SUV as well as five Blue Drive variants of the 10, i20, i30, i30cw and the ix35/Tucson.

Hyundai will be present at this year’s Geneva Motor Show with an all new concept that previews the company’s styling for a future D-segment vehicle. Is Hyundai talking about the next generation Sonata or an all new mid-sized sedan? Called the i-flow, it was designed at Hyundai’s European design headquarters in Russelsheim, Germany. The i-flow is treated to a ‘fluidic sculpture’ and has various features supplied by BASF including roof-mounted solar cells. More information about the i-flow concept will be released soon.
