The record, was previously held by Michael Duchting, who managed to set a time of 7 minutes and 14.89 seconds in a Donkervoort D8 RS06 back in 2005. Gumpert to make an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show

Gumpert has announced that it will be unveiling another hand built custom supercar at the Geneva Motor show 2009. The new model, Apollo Speed, is said to do a 0 to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds and going on to 200km/h 6.3 seconds later, finally topping off at the 360km/h mark. But unlike other cars, this is custom built to the owner’s specifications.
Like a typical Toyota car, engine options are available, but unlike a typical Corolla they are either the 650HP, 700HP or 800HP with a pulling powers of 850, 875, 900Nm respectively. All this power stems from a V8 Bi-turbo motor engine which puts it on the road with a six speed sequential gearbox.
Just because it’s out to perform don’t misunderstand its agenda; there are no visible roll cages or uncomfortable bucket seats, because with the Gumpert, you get fine Alcantra or leather, air conditioning and an all-in-one multimedia player (moniceiver). As a racer’s touch, there is a detachable steering wheel which aids getting into, and out of the vehicle. All we can say is hold on to your caps till March the fifth.
