Dongfeng to launch Citroen ZX-Based Fengshen

Citroen’s aging ZX platform will be put into good use once again, but this time for a compact sedan produced by Chinese auto maker Dongfeng. Called that Fengshen, this compact sedan is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that is good for a not-so-impressive, but adequate 105HP. Design wise, the not-to-bad looking sedan was designed by Italdesign, which is a good thing I guess, considering Dongfeng presented an odd looking coupe some time back.
The Fengshen compact sedan will make its debut at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show in China this April, and sales are expected to take place by May this year. Continue reading to view another image of the Fengshen. Read the rest of this entry.
China’s Dongfeng to launch coupe in 2009!

Chinese auto maker Dongfeng revealed that it plans to introduce the country’s first self-developed premium sports car in 2009. Dongfeng has so far been linked with Honda, Nissan and PSA for technology sharing and it is highly expected that the new coupe will be powered by a Mitsubishi power plant. The image you see above a concept recently built by the auto maker.
