Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Corp interested in Volvo?
According to a published report by news agency Reuters, China-based Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Corp, also known as BAIC is interested in acquiring Swedish auto brand, Volvo from its current US parent company, Ford. Apparently, three BAIC executives will visit Gothenburg, the home of Volvo in Sweden as early as Thursday to further venture into the interest.
However, both BAIC and Ford are unable to comment on this issue. In another development, China’s Geely Automobile Holdings has also revealed that it is not interested in taking over Volvo from the US auto maker.
