Chrysler reveals updated Jeep Liberty / Cherokee

Chrysler has unveiled the 2011 Jeep Libery which is also known in certain markets including Europe as the Cherokee. Changes are very limited with new colour options being the only update on the outside. These new colours include Bronze Star, Blackberry Pearl, Bright White Clear and Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl.

Inside, the 2011 Liberty sports a new steering wheel with controls for the audio, the EVIC system (Electronic Vehicle Information Center), cruise control as well as for the Uconnect phone. The SUV’s infotainment system is now available with three new options.

First up is the AM/FM/CD/DVD/MP3 unit with an auxiliary jack, a 6.5-inch touch screen and a 30 GB hard drive. The second option adds on a Garmin navigation system while the top-of-the-line unit comes additionally with SIRIUS Traffic and SIRIUS Travel Link systems.

The 2011 Jeep Liberty is sold in three trim levels in the US – Sport, Renegade and Limited. It is powered by a 210hp 3.7 liter V6 with 319Nm of torque. This PowerTech engine is based on a 4.7 liter V8 variant and is considered as a ‘durable’ engine, which could explain why such a large engine like this produces only 210hp!

A set of images await you after the jump.
