Lotus ‘accidentally’ leaks email containing info on Paris-bound cars: Evora S and Auto in the list!

We have an interesting news for our readers! Just minutes ago we have received a surprising email from Group Lotus and interestingly, the email was actually a reply directed to a Lotus personnel. The first email came from a US-based PR executive asking about some PR-related questions regarding Lotus’ upcoming involvement with the Paris Motor Show. The first email was also cc’ed to Lotus’ media team but from what looked like an accidental move, a PR boss replied the email and cc’ed it to Lotus’s media list, instead of the media team!
Now lets move on to the juicy details of the email. As mentioned earlier, Lotus has teased the next generation Esprit (could feature a BMW-sourced engine) and is likely to launch a couple of cars, possibly some concepts at the Paris Motor Show in September. The email confirmed that Lotus will indeed launch the Evora S as well as the Evora Auto at the motor event. It was also said that those two cars will be launched along side a “new car(s)”. No the ‘s’ alphabet is not a typo but it was actually typed in the email. This means that more new cars could possibly be launched as well. The statement was followed by “let’s maintain the mystery for now!”

Other details in the email revealed that Lotus plans to send out a press release about the Evora S and Evora Auto during the last week of this month. The sender also added that he or she has driven both the Evora S and Auto and said that “both cars are sensational”. The email also said that the Evora S will be available for media test drives almost straight after Paris while test drives in the US will take place early next year.
Both cars will also undergo testing at the Nordschleife circuit starting from tomorrow, as part of a three-day test event. The final detail in the email indicated that Lotus will make use of a 10,000ft² or a 960m² stand space in Paris.
