Thai-made Nissan March hits the Japanese market

Nissan has launched the 2011 March (also known as the Micra in certain markets) in Japan with sales commencing this week. This JDM March is manufactured at the company’s Thailand plant and Nissan claims that a special inspection process has been set up at the Oppama plant in Japan to maintain manufacturing quality for the Thai-made car.

The JDM March gets a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine with higher end variants receiving features such as an engine start stop system. The March is offered in various trim levels and pricing starts from 999,600 Yen before topping out at 1.64 million Yen. Nissan also plans to build the March in China and Mexico while the production in India has already started.
