Nissan compact car set for Geneva reveal, teaser video released

Nissan has confirmed that it will unveil a new compact car at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. This car is basically the replacement to the Nissan March/Micra. The company has also released a teaser video of the new vehicle and instead of a short clip, its slightly over 4 minutes long and contains some juicy information.
The compact will feature a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder engine. Nissan selected this 3-cylinder over a 4-pot because it delivers the best balance of performance, cost effectiveness and environmental friendliness.
The engine will be paired with a continuously variable transmission and the vehicle will sit on a new platform called the V-platform. Nissan confirmed that the compact will go into production in Thailand in March and that sales in Europe are expected to begin in autumn.
