The Flying Finn may quit the pinnacle of motorsport if he does not secure a drive in a competitive team.

The told The Guardian, “My only aim, if I am going to race next year, is to have a car that can win the championship. Otherwise there is no point.” “I don’t have any bad things to say about them. We always had a good relationship. It’s a chance, but so far I have not thought much about these things,” he added when asked about his former team, McLaren, which he is currently rumored to join, next year, along side fellow champion Lewis Hamilton.

Regarding racing a rally car, he revealed, “There is a chance, but there is a chance to do Formula One. I don’t know what will happen. I will decide at some point.” Raikkonen further commented that the decision will be made before the start of next year.
