Suzuki Swift Plug-In Hybrid Concept to be shown at the Tokyo Motor Show

If you are attending this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, look for a plug-in hybrid concept based on the Swift hatchback, at Suzuki’s booth. The ‘greener’ Swift concept features a hybrid system that features a small internal combustion engine, mated to an electric motor. Unlike other hybrids, this version uses the electric motor to move the car, and the engine acts as a generator to help produce power.
The battery pack in the concept can also be recharged via a household power outlet. The auto maker also gave the Swift concept re-worked headlights and new wheels.
