COE: mixed results for September’s 2nd round, Gov cuts quota by 15.7%

Wednesday marked the second COE bidding round for the month of September and the results were mixed. Premiums for Category A (Cars 1,600cc and below, and taxis) dropped by 13.5% to settle at S$15,589 while premiums for Category B (Cars 1,601cc and above) increased by a mere 2.6% to rest at S$19,801.

Premiums for Category C (Goods vehicles and buses) made a 6.2% drop, ending at S$15,000. Meanwhile, Category D (motorbikes) also dropped from S$1,051 to S$ 900. Last but not least, premiums for Category E (Open Category) increased by 1.8%, pushing premiums to settle at S$20,200, compared to last round’s S$19,830. The government also announced that it has cut the supply of COEs by 15.7%, for the next six months.
