Frankfurt 2009: Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX compact MPVs officially revealed

American-based Ford, has officially revealed both the C-MAX compact MPV and its 7-seater version the Grand C-MAX at the Frankfurt motor event. For the European market, both the 5-seater and 7-seater MPVs are motivated by the auto maker’s new 1.6 liter EcoBoost powerplant, with direct injection and turbocharging.

Joining the engine will be other TDCi diesel and petrol engines. Both models will arrive in major European cities by late 2010 and the auto maker also confirmed that the Grand C-MAX will cross the Atlantic, into the US by late 2011, joining the new Fiesta, the Transit Connect commercial van and the next-generation Ford Focus. This is not American-based Ford product – this is European-based product (C-MAX compact MPV and its 7-seater version the Grand C-MAX).

Yes you are right H. Hollmann. In the article, it was mentioned that Ford is American based, not that the C-MAX is made by Ford US.

Thank you for visiting :)
