Next generation Volvo S60 spied

Volvo is expected to unveil the all new S60 at next year’s Detroit Motor Show, but before that, two spy images of the new Volvo have surfaced on the Internet. Apparently the shots were taken at a shoot location in Sweden. As you can see, the undisguised production version looks just like the S60 Concept (with some minor changes of course) that was shown at this year’s Detroit event.

As expected, Volvo did not carry over the rear suicide doors (with a reversed opening). It should be offered with a number of engine options, including a 1.6 liter GDTi direct-injected turbo powerplant paired with a twin-clutch cog box. You can also expect a Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake that can help avoid a collision entirely if the relative speed difference between the two vehicles is less than 25 km/h and an upgraded cruise control system.
