Audi R8 Spider falls victim to the world of “leaked images”
We have previously revealed to you that Audi will chop the R8’s roof and present the top-less variant in Frankfurt. We have also shared with you a blurry image of the convertible R8 that was taken at the set of Ironman 2 Electric Boogaloo. Now, we have med-res leaked images of the new R8 variant. Called the Audi R8 Spider, it comes with, among others, a canvass roof (based on previous spy images), a redesigned engine cover with two sporty humps and so on.
We don’t have details regarding its powertrain, but expect Audi to announce a range-topping 525HP 5.2 liter V10 powerplant, also good for 530Nm of pulling power. There should also be two transmission options including a 6 speed manual and an R-Tronic sequential gearbox. Also expect an all wheel drive setup. Continue reading to view all four images.
