Sportec cranks out 400HP from the Audi TT RS’ 2.5 liter turbo

Auto tuning company Sportec has announced an upgrade kit for the Audi TT RS, that can enable the RS to pump out 400HP at 5,800 revs and 544Nm of torque at 2,650 revs, from its 2.5 liter turbocharged 5-cylinder powerplant that produces 340HP and 450Nm of pulling power in stock form.
The upgrade kit (Stage 1) is made up by re-mapping the ECU. Available in the UK for £1,200 (via APS of Brackley), the upgrade can help propel the TT RS to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, compared to 4.6 seconds with the un-tampered engine. MCCHIP also has an upgrade kit for the high-performance TT that allows the engine to crank out 400HP as well. Continue reading to view an image gallery of the Audi TT RS. There is also a power chart that indicates the difference in performance.
