Production 2010 Acura ZDX: First images and details

Acura, which presented the ZDX Concept at the New York Auto Show in April has now released three images and more information regarding the production version of the “4-door sports coupe”. With sales to start in winter, the production 2010 Acura ZDX retains design cues featured on the concept version. Highlights of the exterior design include the panoramic glass roof and the hidden door handles for the rear doors, just like Alfa Romeo’s. It also comes with large 19-inch alloy wheels, in a 7-spoke design.

The ZDX is powered by a 300HP 3.7 liter SOHC all-aluminium V6 engine that is also capable of cranking out 366Nm of torque. The powerplant is paired with an all-new 6 speed transmission, with steering mounted paddle shifters. The ZDX also comes with the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system.

On the inside, the 5-seater ZDX features hand-stitched leather interior, HandsFreeLink Bluetooth connectivity, power tailgate, and a high powered audio system with CD player, AM/FM/XM radio and USB audio interface with iPod. Optionally, potential buyers can opt for the Technology Package, that is made up by an Acura/ELS Surround premium audio system and a new multi-view rear camera.

There is also the Advance Package that features a blind spot information system, a Collision Mitigating Braking System (CMBS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). The 2010 Acura ZDX would be positioned between the MDX SUV and the RL sedan. Pricing details will be released soon. Meanwhile continue reading to view a high-res image gallery.
