Porsche’s Panamera Turbo clocked 7 minutes 56 seconds at the Nurburgring?

Apparently, words are being exchanged that Porsche’s latest product, the Panamera Turbo has set a lap time of 7 minutes and 56 seconds at the Nurburgring test track. If there is any truth behind the report, the Panamera Turbo’s lap time would then be quicker than the 7 minutes 59 seconds set by the 556HP Cadillac CTS-V. If so, the Panamera Turbo would become the fastest production sedan to hit the Nordschleife circuit.

The all wheel drive Panamera Turbo is the fastest variant of the 4-door sports car, with a 500HP 4.8-liter turbocharged V8, with 700Nm of pulling power. For the record, the Nissan GTR managed to set a lap time of 7 minutes and 26 seconds.
