Mark Webber claims his first pole at the German Grand Prix!

Australian Mark Webber, of the Red Bull team has claimed his first ever career pole at this weekend’s German Grand Prix in Nurburgring. The entire qualifying session was filled with action, thanks to changing whether. When the session was green flagged, track conditions were dry, and midway rain started to pour.
Reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton was setting some pretty quick times, in his Mercedes-powered Mclaren that is brought to Germany with a new aero package. Adrian Sutil from Force India and Nelson Piquet Jr. from Renault surprised the crowd by making way into the final session. It was clear that this happened due the sudden change in weather conditions, something normal in Nurburgring, due to its high altitude location.
The above mentioned drivers were joined by the Mclarens, Brawns, Ferraris and both the Red Bulls. As track condition was improving towards the end of the session, Mark Webber managed to clinch pole, while his German team mate Vettel lost second place at the dying seconds of the session to both the Brawns, as Rubens Barrichello took second ahead of his championship leading team mate Jenson Button. Behind Vettel was Hamilton in fifth (season best result), who was ahead of Hekki Kovalainen.
Force India’s Adrian Sutil stunned everyone with this seventh place, while both Massa and Raikkonen from the Prancing Horse took eight and ninth respectively. Piquet Jr. will start tomorrow’s race from tenth. Two times World Champion Fernando Alonso in the other Renault starts from 12th. Expect a fantastic race tomorrow, since both the Red Bulls and Brawns will be joined by Lewis Hamilton who is going strong at Nurburgring with the improved car (Kovalainen’s car is not fitted with the aero package). Both the Mclarens have also opted for KERS for the weekend.
