COE premiums increased across the board

COE premiums have increase across the board, as the first bidding of May 2009 took place recently. Category A (Cars 1,600cc and below, and taxis) saw its premiums increased to S$ 8,489, up by 11.9% while premiums for Category B (Cars 1,601cc and above) also closed a little higher, by a slight 0.8% to settle at S$ 7,552.

Category C (Goods vehicles and buses) and Category D (Motorbikes) closed at S$ 7,100 and S$ 902 respectively, increasing by 7.4% and 1.4%. Lastly, premiums for the Open Category E traveled upwards by 9.1% to finally rest at S$ 8,501. This marks a 6-months high in terms of COE prices.
