Mercedes reveals the AMG Sports package for the 2010 S-Class and the CL-Class

German-based auto maker Mercedes Benz has revealed the AMG Sports package for the 2010 S-Class model as well as for the CL-Class, joining the new E-Class saloon, the new E-Class coupe and the C-Class. With the package, buyers will get an AMG bodystyling that includes a front apron with large air intakes, a rear apron with a striking black insert and integrated, rectangular tailpipe trim in polished stainless steel, AMG side sill panels as well as 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with a five-spoke design wrapped with wide-base 255/40 (front) and 275/40 (rear) tires.

The interior is upgraded with wood trim and the wood/leather steering wheel in black ash, velour floor mats with AMG lettering and sports pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs. Buyers will also get perforated front brake discs and silver-painted brake calipers featuring Mercedes-Benz lettering while the V6 models have a more generously proportioned braking system.

Buyers can also optionally add 20-inch AMG light-alloy with 255/35 (front) and 275/35 (rear) tires. The package is available for all S-Class variants in both short and long wheelbase forms, as well as for the CL 500 and the CL 500 4MATIC models. The AMG Sports package carries a price tag of between 5,831 Euros and 7,973 Euros (including VAT) and will be available by June this year.
