Mégane Renaultsport 250 unveiled at Geneva

The new addition from Renault was unveiled at Geneva which is the souped-up version of the New Renault Mégane. Renaultsport Mégane 250 produces a brilliant 250bhp from a new-generation two-litre 16-valve turbocharged petrol engine at 5,500rpm and has a torque value of 340Nm from 3,000rpm which compared to the previous model adds an extra 20hp.
Amazingly in a turbocharged engine, 80% of its power is available from 1,900rpm which makes driving enjoyable. All this power is matted to a six-speed manual gearbox and designers have purposely made the engine audible from within the cabin.
Chassis options available will be the sports chassis or the cup chassis which will have a limited slip differential and with the help of a new electric power steering you can get more driving precision on the road. Note to track day enthusiasts, the cars traction control can be completely turned off when you fell like blazing the tarmac.
The new Mégane was already a sexy sporty design to start off with, thus the designers of the Renaultsport had very little work to do, but you can expect a central exhaust tailpipe and rear diffuser, 18-inch alloy wheels and a splitter while the bumper features LED daytime running lights. Inside expect a sporty feel with aluminium pedals, gearshift indicators, RS signatures on the headrest, dash and rev counters.
