Volvo to unveil the new 2010 Volvo S80 Facelift in Geneva

Joining other auto manufacturers in the Geneva Motor Show is Swedish brand; Volvo and this time, the Ford owned company which is recently linked to Renault for a possible buyout, will unveil the facelift version of the S80 luxury sedan. A number of exterior upgrades will be seen on the new S80 while Volvo revealed that the S80 will get the new D5 2.4 liter 5 cylinder diesel which features sequential twin turbochargers, piezoelectric fuel injectors and ceramic glow plugs. The new engine which is capable of 205HP and 420Nm of torque, is said to offer a fuel consumption figure of 6.2 liters per 100 km when fitted under the hood of the new S80. Volvo also mentioned that the new S80 with the D5 power plant will produce only 164 grams per 100 km.
