Ssangyong to resume production at its Pyeongtaek and Changwon factories!

Work at Ssangyong’s plants had to pause temporarily thanks to suppliers halting parts , as the Chinese-owned Korean company had failed to make payments in time. The latest news is that the Korean auto maker which filled for a court receivership on January 9th has resumed production at its Pyeongtaek and Changwon factories.
Currently both factories are closed to make way for the Chinese New Year holidays however production will resume on Monday. The company seems to be pointing the right direction now since company officials revealed that payment problems have been resolved. Recently, Ssangyong was also linked to Russian auto maker Sollers which was interested to buy rights to re-produce Ssangyong vehicles in Russia.
