Kia showcases the Kia Soul’ster Concept at Detroit!

Kia Soul’s open air crossover concept was finally previewed to the world at the Detroit Motor Show. The front wheel drive crossover which would be targeted at the “young at heart” aims to be a fun, affordable convertible transportation solution for active people. Design wise, it is pretty eye catchy.

The two door crossover with roadster roots features a rather industrial, urban look and is equipped with a roll bar which includes a place for slider tracks, LED headlights, crank up windows, dual chrome exhaust tips and so on. The four-seater vehicle sits on 19 inch five spoke aluminium alloy wheels and also seem feature a spacious cargo area which is vital for such a vehicle.

Kia revealed that this Soul’ster can be made available with an array of engines, including; a 120HP or a 124 HP 1.6 liter 4 cylinder, a 140HP 2.0 liter 4 cylinder or even a 1.6 liter turbo diesel. Two transmission options are expected to be offered including a 5 speed manual and a 4 speed automatic. I can’t wait to see the Soul’ster on our roads!
