Kamui Kobayashi moves to Sauber!

Sensational rookie Kamui Kobayashi who impressed the Formula 1 fraternity with his on track performances at the final two races of the 2009 season has moved to the Sauber Formula 1 team. The Japanese ace took over Timo Glock’s seat at Toyota following Glock’s accident during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. The Toyota Formula 1 team then announced its departure from the sport and Kobayashi became available on the driver market. He was previously linked with Lotus F1 and I am really looking forward to see this rookie racing full time in Formula 1. Its been a while since we last saw a ballsy driver like him.

He was even labeled as ‘crazy’ by World Champion Jenson Button after he gave the Brit a hard time on track in Brazil. At the season ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Kobayashi made a sensational pass on the World Champion and eventually picked up first first points with his sixth place finish. The other seat at Sauber is expected to be taken by Nick Heidfeld as the ex-BMW team was sold back to Peter Sauber.
