Renault to continue in Formula 1 under new ownership?

According to a published report by BCC, Renault will continue its Formula 1 campaign but with a reduced stake. Apparently the French auto maker will hold a minority stake as low as 25% in the team while the majority will be taken up by a new owner. Nevertheless, the “new team” will still be called Renault. With no official statements from Renault itself, we will have to regard this as a rumor for now. So who is likely to become the new boss of the team?

Well there are a number of candidates including Luxembourg businessman Gerard Lopez as well as David Richards, the boss of the Prodrive. Regarding the subject of driver line-up, Robert Kubica has been confirmed for the team while the seat for the second driver remains empty. For the record, other major auto manufacturers like Honda, BMW and Toyota have all left the pinnacle of motorsport within a 12-month period. Stay tuned as will bring you the latest updates!
