Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG gullwing to make its North American debut in Los Angeles

Mercedes-Benz is coming to the Los Angeles Auto Show this December with the high-performance SLS AMG that will make its North American debut. The supercar is expected to go on sale in the spring of next year and a roadster version is expected to arrive in at the end of 2011. The SLS AMG is powered by a front mid-mounted 6.3 liter V8 engine that outputs 571hp at 6,800 revs and 650Nm of torque that is achieved at 4,750 revs. The power unit is paired with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission which is positioned at the rear axle.
