320hp Boxster Spyder revealed: Lightest model in Porsche’s line-up

Porsche has taken the wraps off the new Boxster Spyder that will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show. This new mid-engined Boxster variant is the lightest model in Porsche’s vehicle line-up (1,275 kg) and is powered by a 320hp 3.4 liter 6-cylinder with Direct Fuel Injection. This 320hp power figure is 10hp more than the figure offered by the Boxster S. With the optional PDK dual-clutch tranny, the Spyder can sprint to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and its top speed is rated at 267 km/h that is achieved with the top down.
The Boxster Spyder has a unique soft top that looks a little weird when its up as well as two bulges on the single-piece rear lid. The new model will be introduced into the market by February next year and pricing in Europe will start from €63,404 including 19% VAT. Look for an image gallery after the jump.
