Fuel Prices Up by S$ 0.04 – First time since July 2008!

Fuel prices dropped by S$ 0.04 in December which was for the third time in row, and now, both petrol and diesel prices are up by S$ 0.04, which indicate the first hike in fuel prices since July last year. 92, 95 and 98 petrol are now sold at S$ 1.538, S$ 1.546, S$ 1.620 per liter respectively. Diesel is now at S$ 1.283 per liter. Does this mean that the economy is pointing to the right direction, or perhaps the other way?
